Understanding Light & Darkness

My son had been sick for years, and nothing helped him. He just kept getting worse. Our family was living in chaos until the Lord showed us that his illness had a spiritual root. We started removing every ungodly thing from our lives, and one of the things we needed to remove was Pokemon. We saw immediate healing in some symptoms as soon as it was removed from our house.

There are many things that open the door to the demonic realm, and one of them is Pokemon. Pokemon stands for pocket monsters/pocket demons. It is rooted in Eastern religion and mysticism. Was I the only mom who didn’t know this?

As Christian parents, we need to always look at the root or foundational beliefs behind what is being placed in front of us in the form of entertainment. The enemy is a master at counterfeiting and making something evil appear good and relatable to culture. We need to be aware of the foundational beginnings of all forms of entertainment that we and our children engage in.

“We have ministered to children who have embraced Pokémon, and their struggles have included violence, rage, nightmares, insomnia, allergies, asthma, and other chronic illnesses.”

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!”

God has shown us so much in such a short amount of time. We are so grateful He has opened our spiritual eyes. The good news is our God is greater, and He has given us power and authority over all the power of the enemy.
